It is a pleasure for us to share our rooms with the acclaimed Galerie Vitrine Luzern. We are eager to offer this added value to our current and prospective customers.

by Judith Hess

Walter and I are both art enthusiasts so we always enjoy being surrounded by art and artists. Because many of our customers feel the same way, our location often defines a common denominator between us and those who visit us. Whether passing through the gallery to reach our atelier or on the occasion of an inaugural aperitif: on Stiftstrasse 4, the visual experience is focused on watches and exquisite contemporary art alike.

Common denominator, common quest

Evelyne Walker Schöb, the owner of Galerie Vitrine, and I have long been acquaintances and then friends. Originally domiciled in the new part of the city, the gallery team was looking for a better property. HESS Uhren, with its location in Kriens, was in a similar situation. Pursuing a recommendation, we finally ended up on Stiftstrasse near the Church of St. Leodegar, commonly referred to as the Hofkirche.

With dedication and initiative

Sleeves were rolled back and together as a team of our, we remodeled the rooms in building No. 4. So it came to pass that Walter served as an electrician, Evelyne as a painter, and all others as eager, dedicated helpers. For us, it is a very special privilege to welcome customers and guests in an ensemble of rooms that we personally redesigned from the bottom up.

Schedule an appointment

Currently, we are sharing opening hours and presence times with the Galerie Vitrine team. This means that gallery staff members can show visitors and interested guests our watches while we are away. But they realize that a detailed presentation can only be provided by watchmaker Walter Hess.

Therefore, we recommend that interested watch lovers contact us to schedule an appointment for a personal meeting. A casual get-together that entails no obligations whatsoever. This lets us assure that no questions remain unanswered.
