Walter Hess’ fascination with mechanical watches extends far beyond his Hess watches. In recent years, he has specialised in the repair of watches from the 1940s to the 1980s. The rare spare parts can usually be procured thanks to a persistent search and a large network. If this is not possible, Walter Hess sometimes makes the tiny parts himself. Pocket watches and large pendulum clocks also find their way into the watchmaker’s workshop time and again.
